Raytheon is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, who works independently monitoring manufacturing operations by analyzing cell performance and productivity. The successful candidate is driven, organized, collaborative, and adaptable. Coordinates scheduling activities and sequencing of work. Works across operations disciplines and support groups. The supervisor is accountable for executing the production plan and ensuring each manufacturing program achieves its monthly delivery commitments. This role partners closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Product Control PCMC to identify and remove barriers that impact schedule performance while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements. Reviews support requirements and recommend tools and procedure processes. May make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials. The Manufacturing supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations in Special Fab & Final assembly. This position is for 1st shift.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience .
  • Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and /or Quality environments.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Manages small projects or processes.
  • Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of area technicians.
  • Collect status and barriers to enable effective shift handoffs and communication to factory supervision.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput in work cells.
  • Provide team leadership and model behaviors including adherence to policies and factory rules, timely completion of required training, and attention to detail
  • Identifies cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Will rotate between labs and support numerous teams.
  • Balance labor resources to support changing production priorities.
  • Ensure production documentation, labor reporting, and manufacturing records such as sign offs/JSTD certs are accurate and completed on time.
