About The Position

Home Market Foods is seeking a hands-on operations leader to drive performance, efficiency, and team development across their manufacturing facility. This role will oversee daily operations, partner with leadership to execute strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and build a high-performing, accountable team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong lean manufacturing expertise, and can translate data into action to make a significant impact on both people and production. This is a 2nd shift opportunity (Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 12:00pm) based in their manufacturing facility in Norwood, MA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 7+ years of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food or CPG strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success building and leading team-based organizations.
  • Solid background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging operations and production workflows.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related discipline preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations across production, maintenance, sanitation, and distribution functions.
  • Ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans, schedules, and performance targets.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Partner with leadership to shape and execute operational strategies.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Build, coach, and develop a strong leadership bench within the facility.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and results.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing employee development.
  • Translate business needs into actionable production and resource plans.
  • Monitor operational costs and manage departmental budgets.
  • Prepare and present performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory, safety, and internal standards.
  • Ensure workforce training and compliance across all operational areas.
