Manufacturing Operations Manager
About The Position
Our company is a leading single-source integrated provider of specialized millwright, fabrication, rigging, and high-value resinous flooring drain solutions that maximize facility run-time and enhance employee and food safety in industrial facilities. We serve leading global-brand companies and have a longstanding reputation for quality, service, and reliability. We are seeking a highly talented individual to help transform our newly acquired mechanical business. The Operations Manager oversees all day-to-day field and shop operations for the company's mechanical and industrial service projects. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably, while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The Operations Manager serves as the key link between project management, field supervision, clients, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
- 5+ years in industrial/mechanical services with at least 2 years in a leadership or operations management role.
- Proven experience managing crews, scheduling, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards (OSHA, MSHA, etc.).

- Food and beverage experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all field and shop activities, including fabrication, installation, maintenance, and shutdown work.
- Plan manpower, equipment, and material resources to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all job sites.
- Monitor performance metrics (labor utilization, productivity, job costing) and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Support project managers and foremen in meeting deadlines, scope, and client expectations.
- Participate in project kickoffs, progress reviews, and close-out meetings.
- Resolve operational challenges and proactively mitigate risks.
- Lead and mentor field supervisors, foremen, and shop personnel.
- Support workforce development, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
