About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager. This role reports into KitPackers, LLC, an Ellsworth Corporation company located in Germantown, WI, and is an on-site role. KitPackers is a growing industry leader in packaging high-end adhesives for the aerospace, defense, technology, and automotive industries. This role manages one or more production areas in a Business Unit(s) to ensure that safety, quality, volume, cost, and waste standards are achieved. It follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. The role monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues, implements process improvements, and coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. It also oversees manufacturing financial information and budgets, evaluates resources, manages supply chain and inventory, and coordinates quality and supplies.

Requirements

5 years of related work experience
3 years of management experience
Ability to lead, inspire and motivate others within the organization
Developing actions to achieve organizational goals
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several variables
Continuous improvement acumen

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Manages one or more production areas in a Business Unit(s) to ensure that safety, quality, volume, cost, and waste standards are achieved
Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve optimal productivity and cost
Creates, recommends, implements and adjusts department annual operating plan
Coordinates with production, purchasing, and inventory to determine cost of inventory, warehousing, replenishment time, and costs
Evaluates products and processes for improvement and implements continuous improvement initiatives when applicable
Manages the Quality Management System for the Business Unit in accordance with the company's ISO 9001 standards and customer specifications
