As a Manufacturing Operations Intern, you will join our manufacturing team, where innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement drive operational excellence. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a production environment while supporting equipment performance and manufacturing operations. You'll work on real-world projects involving equipment investigations, mechanical troubleshooting, technical documentation, and engineering analysis while learning how manufacturing systems support the future of biotechnology.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing project responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Sophomore standing or higher at the time of application.
• Ability to arrange your own housing and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support investigations related to equipment performance, reliability, and manufacturing process improvements.
• Review equipment drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Assist with identifying replacement parts, equipment specifications, and component compatibility.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities for equipment-related issues.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams to improve manufacturing performance.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Develop and update technical documentation, procedures, reports, and equipment records.
• Present project findings, recommendations, and outcomes to site leadership when applicable.
