About The Position

The Manufacturing Material Handler moves materials and components during manufacturing operations, including transporting them to production suites. The role supports production through cleaning and housekeeping, maintaining accurate logbooks and documentation, preparing and staging components, and ensuring materials and products are handled, labeled, stored, and returned appropriately. The handler follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Documentation Practices, and performs only tasks for which they are trained and documented as competent.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials and components to production suites during production operations.
• Assist with cleaning areas and equipment and maintain hallway cleanliness.
• Maintain the inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) in an orderly manner.
• Obtain components from warehouse personnel and verify that they are present and released for production use.
• Clean outer containers as appropriate.
• Follow CGMPs and Standard Operating Procedures and complete documentation correctly and promptly.
• Stage components in appropriate areas and supply them as needed to continue operations, using the oldest lots first (FIFO) where applicable.
• Ensure products leaving the department are stored in proper containers and that materials are properly labeled and returned to the appropriate area.
• Assist in ensuring full accountability for components, products, and labeling materials.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and follow Good Documentation Practices.
• Maintain personal training records and undertake only tasks for which training and competency are documented.
• Assist Team Leaders and the Manufacturing Manager in other areas as directed.
