Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling, Lean Manufacturing, production systems, and ERP software (Epicor experience is a plus).
  • A proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of your assigned Focus Factory, ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Direct production personnel and provide daily leadership, coaching, and accountability to build a high-performing team.
  • Execute production schedules while partnering with the Manufacturing Operations Manager on planning, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor workflow and proactively identify labor, material, equipment, or scheduling challenges before they impact production.
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Sales, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to maintain efficient production flow and customer commitments.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Schedule attainment, Inventory, Customer fulfillment, Delivery performance.
  • Lead daily Level 1 production meetings and communicate priorities, challenges, and KPI performance with your team.
  • Participate in Level 2 Production Control meetings to drive alignment across departments.
  • Create a stable, predictable production environment with minimal expediting while continuously improving manufacturing performance.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure your team maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing production employees.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Recognizing employee accomplishments while addressing performance concerns when necessary.
  • Building engaged, accountable teams focused on continuous improvement.
  • Evaluating organizational structure and partnering with leadership as the company grows.
  • Supporting workforce development initiatives and community manufacturing programs.
  • Overseeing production and facility maintenance activities as needed.
