This onsite leadership role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence within a fast-paced production environment. The Manufacturing Manager provides strategic direction for all production operations, leading Production Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. As a Manufacturing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping operational success by leading manufacturing strategy, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will influence plant performance through operational excellence, workforce development, and cross-functional collaboration while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or another technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience leading production operations through multiple levels of management.
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute manufacturing strategies that support business objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of production processes, manufacturing systems, and operational best practices.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing operational metrics and budgets.
  • Demonstrated success leading change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or a high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multiple production departments or large manufacturing organizations.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all production operations within the facility.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Production Managers and their teams to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Establish and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with plant goals and customer requirements.
  • Drive daily manufacturing performance to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Develop performance expectations, monitor operational metrics, and implement corrective actions to improve results.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other functional leaders to ensure operational alignment.
  • Develop production schedules, staffing plans, and resource strategies to support customer demand.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence initiatives to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance data and implement improvement plans that support business objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives, including talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Engineering Support functions as required.
  • Develop and manage departmental operating budgets, capital expenditures, and labor planning.
  • Approve and support employee training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for production challenges, resource constraints, and operational issues.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing leadership team focused on operational excellence and employee development.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
