About The Position

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead staffing, production, quality, and safety across four pizza lines at its Florence, Kentucky pizza plant. The role oversees manufacturing operations, promotes efficient and compliant production, supports employee development, controls costs, and resolves day-to-day operational issues to maintain high performance. The manager guides Production Supervisors, monitors processes and product quality, drives continuous improvement, reviews operational and personnel data, prepares performance reports, ensures each shift starts on time, and develops, coaches, and trains team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in food production.
• Ability to interpret safety and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to supervise, develop, and motivate teams while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production across all departments.
• Guide Production Supervisors in monitoring processes and product quality, and identifying and correcting deviations from specifications.
• Reduce scrap, waste, and non-conformance while optimizing labor, equipment use, and costs.
• Review operational, quality, and personnel reports to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Prepare performance reports and ensure on-time facility start-up each shift.
• Develop, coach, and train team members.
• Maintain consistent policy and cost control and resolve daily operational issues.
