About The Position

The purpose of this position is to safely direct and support the manufacture of copper fittings that meet quality specifications set both internally and by the customer. The position is also responsible for providing strong leadership skills to plan, organize and execute production plans while driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery and costs.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral & written communication.
  • Organized and self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to lead others toward safely achieving company goals.
  • Acceptable attendance record per hiring and job transfer policies.
  • Ability to accurately read measurement tools (including plug and ring gages, as well as micrometers and calipers).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety goals are met for the shift and assist in meeting the facility goals.
  • Manage and supervise the associates assigned to shift.
  • Develop work practices that will improve and reduce costs.
  • Promote change through strong communication, team building and leadership.
  • Assist in helping achieve continuous improvement goals of the facility.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate department activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products on time.
