About The Position

This role provides overall leadership for the operation of assigned assets. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe work culture with a goal towards zero injuries and zero environmental impact, ensuring manufactured products meet customer requirements and specifications, and enforcing quality standards in accordance with Rockline’s quality management systems and regulatory guidelines. The position utilizes the Rockline Operating System to develop and support metrics, KPIs, and scorecards to ensure performance targets and strategic objectives are met. It is accountable for continuous improvement, asset performance, and processes/procedures related to safety, quality, and cost (productivity, waste reduction), as well as team development and training. The role involves developing standard rates for output, staffing, and manufacturing assets annually, and providing information to support cost quoting of new products. This includes assessing rates, required staffing, asset allocation for production, identifying and eliminating potential manufacturing roadblocks, and the ability to decline products that do not align with current strategy or are cost-prohibitive. The position analyzes and assesses manufacturing performance and trends, aligning proper resources or assigning projects to effectively resolve manufacturing challenges. It also identifies and promotes continuous improvement activities with the team related to equipment and processes. The role serves as a liaison with external departments such as Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Tech Support, Quality, and Global Engineering to support customer expectations and business performance goals. It ensures customer expectations are understood and met by all members of the Manufacturing team and may lead or participate in customer tours and audits. Additionally, the role leads and participates in the selection and development of new manufacturing associates to build teams that deliver manufacturing excellence. It supports the creation and adherence to the manufacturing budget, including monthly variance analysis. Requirements

  • Internal - Bachelor's Degree OR Within 12 months of completing their bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management or business and 4 years manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 2 years of supervisory leadership or demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.
  • External – Bachelor’s degree required preferably in operations, engineering, supply chain, operations management or business and 6 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 4 years of supervisory leadership.
  • Ability to analyze and present large amounts of manufacturing data, develop effective corrective actions, implement solutions, and reinforce through accountability.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
