About The Position

This is a skilled multi-trade position responsible for supporting and maintaining CNC Grinders, Presses, Sintering furnaces, Wet and Dry media blasters, CVD Furnaces, PVD Furnaces, and the facility that encompasses the equipment. The individual will be interacting alongside plant personnel and independently working on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and conducting PMs daily. We are hiring for the 3rd shift with hours from 11pm to 7am.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience as a maintenance technician.
Training from a certification program, vocational, or technical school pertaining to the skill sets listed.
Proficiency in CNC-driven systems – Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
Understanding of PLC’s / Ladder Logic.
Knowledge of 3 phase & Single-phase motor control.
Capability of fluently reading and comprehending electrical schematics.
Experience with conduit and panel wiring installation.
Comprehension and understanding of NEC code & NFPA 70.E.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of Power Transmission.
Knowledge of Pneumatics.
Knowledge of Hydraulic systems and schematics.
Experience with Pipe fitting; Welding / Soldering / Threading.
Experience with Welding - Arc, MIG and TIG.
Experience with Plasma Cutting.
Experience with Metal shaping and bending.
Frequent walking, climbing ladders, and standing for periods up to 8-12 hours a day.
Must be safety-minded.
Must pass a Respirator Medical Evaluation.

Responsibilities

Supporting and maintaining CNC Grinders, Presses, Sintering furnaces, Wet and Dry media blasters, CVD Furnaces, PVD Furnaces, and the facility.
Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conducting preventative maintenance (PMs) daily.
Participating in the Kennametal Spill Response program.
Participating on the Plant Emergency SCBA Response Team.
