About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for the execution of all maintenance and assigned projects at the facility. This role involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and emergency maintenance repairs on all manufacturing equipment. The associate will install and manage the upkeep of various pipe equipment and systems, including repairing plumbing, fabricating piping and materials, assembling systems, and ensuring their effective operation. The role also includes working on industrial plumbing systems, heating and cooling piping, threading and running pipe, working with steam heat systems, and troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Additionally, the associate will plan, maintain tooling, and fabricate replacement parts using fabrication and machining equipment, and perform basic to complex grounds/facilities repairs. The position requires providing proper, timely service to maintenance customers (production, warehouse, paint line, etc.), being accessible and accommodating, reacting with urgency, and providing technical assistance. The associate must meet work specifications and quality standards, ensure job completion, practice clean-as-you-go, and maintain better housekeeping upon completion. They must begin work at the start of the shift, pass on pertinent information to the next shift, maintain detailed logs for 100% data accuracy, and ensure orderly shift changeovers with complete briefs. Performing Preventive and Predictive Maintenance safely and efficiently, documenting results, recording and reporting daily time distribution, and following daily work schedules are also key responsibilities. The role involves identifying needed parts, completing paperwork for ordering and tracking parts, and coordinating maintenance of parts inventory with MRO and purchasing personnel. Seeking ways to conserve resources and improve costs and efficiency is also expected.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience required
  • Must have working knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical, PLC's, Programing and Mechanical Equipment, Machine Break Down
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and have correctable eyesight and correctable hearing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and lift 51 to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Must have above average oral and written communication skills and must have the ability to work well with others
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands and pressure situations while working in a fast paced production environment
  • Position requires walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, crawling, bending, twisting
  • Work involves high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery; constant attention to safe practices is required
  • Work in manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
  • Required personal protective equipment, mechanical and electrical tools and or fabrication/machining equipment required to complete assigned task
  • Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
  • Proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each associate's performance appraisal
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduled PM's and emergency maintenance repairs on all manufacturing equipment.
  • Install and manage the upkeep of various pipe equipment and systems, responsible for repairing plumbing, and the duties range from fabricating piping and materials to assembling systems and ensuring they’re running effectively.
  • Associate will be working on industrial plumbing systems, heating and cooling piping, threading pipe, running pipe, working with steam heat system, troubleshoots, and repairing some electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Associate can plan, maintain tooling, and fabricate replacement parts utilizing all fabrication and machining equipment.
  • Performs basic to complex grounds/facilities repairs and ensures accuracy of records and safety in all operations.
  • Provide proper, timely service to maintenance customers (production, warehouse, paint line, etc.)
  • Be easy to get in touch with, agreeable to ideas and accommodating.
  • React with a sense of urgency
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance customers
  • Perform approved maintenance work, specific jobs, preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders as appropriate
  • Ensure corrective work orders are written from PM work activities
  • Meet work specifications and quality standards for each assignment
  • Ensure job completion and quality
  • Perform clean as you go
  • Ensure housekeeping is better when you finished than when you started
  • Begin work at the start of shift and ensure the necessary means to pass on all pertinent information to the next shift
  • Maintain all detailed logs and notes to ensure 100% accuracy of data
  • Ensure orderly shift changeover and complete briefs are performed
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and document the results
  • Record and report all daily time distribution
  • Follow daily work schedules
  • Ensure orderly conduct with respect to company policy regarding
