About The Position

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Operator, you play a key role in maintaining production equipment to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. You will assist with routine maintenance, monitor machine performance, and troubleshoot issues as needed. Your responsibilities include supporting preventive maintenance programs, responding to equipment alarms, and collaborating with technicians to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. By maintaining a clean and organized work environment and adhering to safety protocols, you help sustain a high-performance manufacturing setting. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team makes you a vital asset in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • At least one (1) year in a maintenance or equipment operation role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Work with a high-level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor manufacturing equipment to identify performance issues, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting on production-related machinery, such as motors, conveyor systems, degreasing equipment, and palletizing units.
  • Perform scheduled visual inspections of key machinery.
  • Follow established maintenance procedures to contribute to the longevity of equipment and minimize unexpected failures.
  • Recognize early signs of wear and report them to maintenance supervisors.
  • Support maintenance technicians in performing mechanical and electrical repairs, including replacing worn or defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist with part installations and calibrations.
  • Support the setup and alignment of new machinery.
  • Conduct test runs after repairs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical failures under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area by following 5S principles and properly storing tools and equipment.
  • Keep work areas free from clutter and hazards.
  • Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
  • Work closely with production operators, maintenance technicians, and supervisors to report equipment issues and assist with maintenance activities.
  • Actively participate in team discussions and share observations.
