About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance. This role is located at the Clackamas Dairy Plant and the manager is looking for additional support. The hourly pay rate for this role is up to $36.97, and candidates must meet all requirements for this rate. The work schedule is 3rd shift/graveyard from 10 pm to 6:30 am, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. The worker must be open to working at least one weekend day and overtime. There is a possibility this assignment will be extended and could convert to full-time. If converted to full-time, the candidate must join the onsite union. The candidate must be eligible to be employed for an indefinite duration without limited work authorization.

Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent
5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair require
You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
Candidate must be eligible to be employed for an indefinite duration with out limited work authorization.

Nice To Haves

LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
OSHA 10/CPR nice to have

Responsibilities

Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices
Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogues- as necessary
Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts
Able to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required
Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required
Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required
Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)
Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently
Maintain organization of spare parts
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Complete special projects and duties as assigned
Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment
Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment
Welding mild and stainless steel
Complete work orders
Maintain logs and records
Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role
