About The Position

The Mundy Companies is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager for a long-term position in the Freeport, Texas area at a fertilizer production facility. This role is the technical backbone of the facility, responsible for equipment reliability, leading trades crews, and working with operations leadership and process engineering to ensure safe and efficient operations. The manager will be the primary problem-solver when issues arise.

Requirements

  • A BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 3+ years of progressive engineering experience at an industrial facility
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, instrumentation/controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Working knowledge of bulk and material handling conveyor systems, and automated packing systems
  • Strong project management instincts and a track record of leading through change

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in plant engineering, reliability, or maintenance engineering
  • Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles
  • Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP or Maximo

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day reliability and maintenance of plant equipment, including proactive P-F curve intervention and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Direct supervision of the maintenance workforce, including Mechanical, I&E, and soft crafts.
  • Management of smaller capital projects from concept through startup, including budget, schedule, and technical specification ownership.
  • Oversight of equipment design, installation specifications, and commissioning plans for new and modified assets.
  • Development of KPIs, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintenance documentation integrity.
