The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and oversees day-to-day maintenance performed on facilities and equipment to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations. This role involves supervising the building and equipment services department, ensuring comprehensive maintenance and repair of all equipment. The manager will also partner with local utility representatives to monitor energy efficiency, establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program, and analyze equipment failure trends to develop cost-effective maintenance schedules. Additionally, they will administer training programs, promote safe working conditions, and provide direct supervision to technical/maintenance staff, including managing PM programs, projects, staff development, and administrative tasks. The position also entails leadership for the facilities' EHS program, fire protection, and emergency response, ensuring a safe work environment by driving safe work practices and holding employees accountable. The Maintenance Manager is a key part of the plant management team, collaborating with other internal support groups, manufacturing supervision, and crews to support safe working equipment, achieve operational goals, and maximize machine uptime. They will lead and manage projects, maintain physical plants and grounds, work with local municipal authorities, and participate in budget development. The role requires frequent interaction with outside suppliers, vendors, and contractors, and collaboration with HR to support a diverse, inclusive workplace. Staying current with the latest technologies and seeking continuous improvement opportunities that impact safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service are also key aspects of this role, alongside using ethical business practices.
