The Facilities Assistant will be crucial in maintaining manufacturing and office spaces, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and functionality. This role involves coordinating maintenance requests, managing supplies, and assisting with event setup and teardown.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3 years’ experience in general maintenance or handyman work
Must be tech-savvy and able to maneuver through different Microsoft and Video Conferencing applications

Responsibilities

Maintain manufacturing/office spaces, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and well-functioning
Coordinate maintenance requests
Manage supplies
Assist in the setup and teardown of events
Help provide a clean and safe environment for clients
Assist the facility manager with repairs and upkeep of the grounds, buildings and fleet
Perform general maintenance and repairs of facility, grounds, and machine equipment
Ensure that HVAC and heating systems are functional, and filters are changed regularly
Perform a variety of work in the maintenance of the grounds and keeps it in clean, orderly manner, including mowing, weeding, and general landscaping
Perform minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting as needed that does not require a permit or license
Assist in ordering of general maintenance supplies and keeping storage room orderly
Assist in light housekeeping duties
Serve as liaison for contractors, vendors, and suppliers to Facilities Manager and Executive Director
Abide by all health and safety guidelines and policies of program and state, federal and accreditation statutes
Maintain facility vehicle(s), including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, tags, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager or Executive Director
