About The Position

Working as a full-time Manufacturing Machinist, you will set up and operate multiple pieces of equipment, such as turning centers, machining centers, and various manual equipment. You must understand the operation and capabilities of each machine. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding and training and upon meeting performance goals. Fastenal is a distributor of industrial and construction supplies with more than 3,000 servicing locations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate the company's core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

Nice To Haves

Prior machining experience.
A two-year tool and die or machining degree.

Responsibilities
