About The Position

Cerrowire, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator for their 12-hour night shift. This role involves operating various machines that contribute to product manufacturing, developing each team member's skills and development.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
• Operators must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Employment is contingent upon passing pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Run production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.
• Learn the various aspects of production processes, such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.
• Utilize computer controls to operate production equipment.
• Run production equipment to prescribed guides to achieve daily production goals efficiently.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.
• Maintain good housekeeping around lines, production floor, and communal areas.
• When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.
• Assist where needed on the production floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than producing product on your regularly assigned equipment.
• Other duties assigned.
