About The Position

This is an entry-level position in the Powder Packaging department concentrated in the filling process. The role involves operating fillers, seamers, and other equipment/systems associated with the filling of containers. Responsibilities include tracking the use of commodities, conducting routine quality inspections, ensuring proper batch work order documentation, completing housekeeping tasks, executing scheduled production line cleaning, performing preventative maintenance, and forklift operations. The position requires accountability for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of food manufacturing experience
• Solid problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Operate fillers, seamers, and other equipment/systems associated with the filling of containers.
• Track the use of commodities such as scoops, cans, and ends.
• Conduct routine quality inspections of product in production.
• Ensure proper batch work order documentation is completed.
• Complete housekeeping tasks by following applicable sanitation procedures.
• Execute scheduled production line cleaning activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Forklift operations.
