Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience or equivalent;
  • Master degree with a minimum of 7 years' experience;
  • Strong management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent command of French and very good English level (spoken and written);

  • Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods. Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of these checks and obtaining the required clearances. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the employment offer.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible of maintaining a safe work environment and the management and development of employees within the organization.
  • Responsible to plan and manage all functions related to production/manufacturing in his/her business sector.
  • Leadership role in maintaining of good labor relations in partnership with all stakeholders to enable the organization to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Accountable for on-time delivery, product quality, implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (productivity improvement, cost reduction, new technology, etc.) while applying the CORE concept, budget, and support to external and internal customers.
  • Responsible for coordinating operations transformation initiatives and implementing “Lean Manufacturing” techniques and principles.
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent to ensure that people with the right skills and motivation are in place;
  • Lead High Performance Work Groups: Implement a culture of innovation within organizational groups that leads to greater excellence through continuous improvement;
  • Facilitate and Implement Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation. Implement new systems and processes that make effective use of available resources and opportunities;
