About The Position

This role leads production operations in the plant, focusing on delivering key performance targets in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, and organizational morale. The position ensures the effective implementation of the manufacturing strategy and strives to build a high-performing organization. The role involves managing change and transformation within operating teams, implementing Integrated Lean 6 Sigma (IL6S) and Factory of the Future (FoF) concepts, and progressing towards self-sufficient teams through Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive Maintenance (PM). The Manufacturing Line Manager will support annual operational plans, coach Line Leaders, and cascade plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment. A strong governance structure will be established to review and control operational performance and continuous improvement plans, embedding a zero-loss mindset. The role drives the operating team to identify and manage improvements in technology, culture, capability, and operating systems for a best-practice and reliable operation. It also ensures adherence to all manufacturing standards, governance, and compliance requirements, including quality, food safety, GMP, health, safety, security, environment, sustainability, code of conduct, policies, and local legal requirements. Furthermore, the position is accountable for talent, capabilities, and engagement within the manufacturing team, identifying levers to attract, retain, and develop talent and build capability at all levels to create a sustainable workforce profile. Effective partnership with multi-functional peers internally and externally is crucial to achieve objectives, goals, and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry.
  • Experience in TPM, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team building.
  • An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 8 years of related experience.
  • 3 years’ management experience or supervisory equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge (including AM Step 4 systems & PM Step 3 & skill to maintain the dedicated equipment(s) at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (Break down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment(s).
  • Total Productive Maintenance & 6 Sigma tools & application including qualification of AM step 5-6, and PM step 3. (Loss analysis/eradication mindset and usage of RCA tools)
  • The capability to lead within the line teams.
  • Qualify and coach the work process owners and drive the common opportunity areas across the line in PDCA approach.
  • Ability to tactfully handle challenging interpersonal situations influencing people in a union environment, possess team leadership traits with strong communication skills and an attention to details.

  • Establish and lead a strong Governance to review and control operational performance and Continuous Improvement plans.
  • Embed a zero-loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in class.
  • Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability, and operating systems.
  • Ensure all Manufacturing standards, Governance, and Compliance requirements are in place, understood, and monitored.
  • Lead and be accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team.
  • Identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and build capability.
  • Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally & externally to achieve objectives, goals and KPI’s.
