Requirements
- AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience OR High School diploma/GED/equivalent with 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulic, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role including statistical process control and data analytics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
Responsibilities
- Break down complicated systems into individual pieces to improve productivity
- Visualize improvement opportunities and convert into processes that meet aerospace quality standards
- With assistance from the Engineering Manager, determine justification, develop project schedules and identify opportunities and risks associated with ideas; develop risk mitigation strategies to manage risk
- Prepare technical specifications and other documents that can be used to procure technical services and products or work instructions
- Responsible for projects and/or multiple tasks within functional discipline making for significant contribution to their team by applying their knowledge
