About The Position

Electrified Thermal Solutions is seeking lab technicians to assist with pilot production of their "E-Brick" refractory heater elements at their Charlestown, MA facility. E-Bricks are a novel type of heater element which power the Joule Hive™ thermal battery. The role involves assisting with production scale-up, reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, and working on a manufacturing team of engineers and technicians. Full-time on-site work is expected.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to adhering to workplace safety procedures and contributing to safety culture.
• Ability to independently execute on complex tasks with a high degree of reliability.
• Comfort working with your hands; comfort working with power tools or heavy machinery.
• An OSHA-approved stand-up forklift certification, or, a willingness to obtain one in on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Mix, pour, vibrate, cure, fire, QC, and package refractory E-brick heater elements.
• Prepare Quality Assurance/Control samples with each batch.
• Document process parameters as directed by process and manufacturing engineers.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, improvements, and repair.
• Prepare refractory samples for testing, including cutting, drilling, and grinding.
• Organize and catalog samples, tools, and equipment.
• Work with engineering staff to revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processes and lab equipment.
