We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Lab Associate to join our team in Montgomery, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build a rewarding career in the life sciences. This is a day shift, onsite, Monday-Friday at our facility in Montgomery, TX. Overtime is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience working in a detail-oriented environment with physical and time-sensitive demands.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Hands-on experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Hands-on experience processing human or animal blood.
  • Knowledge of documentation practices and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including handling laboratory chemicals and operating assigned laboratory equipment following required training.
  • Fine motor coordination and laboratory technique skills, including pipetting.
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and articulately in English.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills for working openly with supervisors, team members, and parallel teams.
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate or Bachelor degree in the life sciences is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Isolate, process, store, and ship for PBMCs, plasma, serum, antisera, and similar biological materials using molecular and scientific manufacturing techniques.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and inventories; Prepare certificates of analysis, quality documentation, and shipping records as required using Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Databases (Access/D365), and other computer programs; Maintain daily logs, equipment records, and laboratory documentation.
  • Assist with “Pool and Queue” process whereby all raw materials are moved into the appropriate downstream path (e.g., AP, Fractionation, Serum, others as assigned); Ensure compliance with applicable SOPs, OSHA regulations, QMS guidance and requirement, IATA requirements, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist with plasma/serum testing by scientific characterization methods including ELISA, RRID, IEP, Biolis and other assigned methods.
  • Perform routine or basic maintenance on laboratory facilities and equipment; Maintain daily logs, equipment records, and laboratory documentation; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by following established housekeeping and safety procedures in accordance with SOPs and established protocols; Complete other duties assigned by management in support of scientific discovery.
