Make Your Mark at Prysmian Group - Join Us Position overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Intern to join our team at our Cables facility. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a manufacturing setting, working closely with our manufacturing operations team to improve processes, enhance product quality, and increase efficiency.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret manufacturing performance data daily to ensure that correct decisions are made to support desired outcome.
Coordinate efforts with area supervisors and team leads within manufacturing operation to meet/exceed: Labor, material, and other variable cost performance goals.
Respond to associate issues in either a particular function, or, a group of processes in the manufacturing of elevator cables.
Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for cable and wire process.
Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvement.
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and process, to resolve technical issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address process challenges.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
