About The Position

HP Hood is seeking a self-driven Manufacturing Filler Operator to join their team. This role is crucial for monitoring equipment, ensuring sanitary maintenance, addressing operational issues to minimize downtime, and optimizing running efficiency. The operator will be responsible for maintaining operational documentation, upholding quality, safety, and cleanliness standards, and collaborating with team members for efficient plant operations. This position also involves ensuring resource availability for production runs and setting up the oncoming shift for success. The operator is expected to perform any duties necessary to support the team, gather information from pre-shift meetings and off-going operators, identify and resolve line bottlenecks, and properly receive and store warehouse deliveries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate Computer Skills (i.e. Word, Excel, etc)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Solid Mechanical Skills
  • Ability to work well with people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multi-tasked Individual
  • Ability to work independently
  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 8+ hours)
  • Walking: Long periods
  • Bending: Frequently
  • Lifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently
  • Carrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance
  • Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently
  • Must be willing to work Swing/Graveyard

Responsibilities

  • Vigilantly monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.
  • Ensure that all required sanitary maintenance is performed.
  • Address equipment problems in an aggressive manner, as to minimize downtime.
  • Make controlled adjustments to equipment to optimize the running efficiency.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations.
  • Uphold highest quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated area.
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Ensure that all resources are available for production run.
  • Set-up oncoming shift for successful run.
  • Expected to perform any duties necessary to support the team.
  • Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going operator.
  • Determine line “bottlenecks” and take action to improve.
  • Properly receives and stores all Warehouse deliveries.
