About The Position

At General Motors, product teams develop vehicles and experiences through a human-centered design process, advancing mobility through hardware, battery systems, software, safety, and entertainment features. The Manufacturing Execution Engineer GA for ME Optimization leads General Assembly manufacturing optimization projects across multiple assembly sites. The role collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to design, build, and commission automation in GM vehicle assembly plants. It helps advance General Assembly operations and the factory of the future by maximizing efficiency and reducing MCPU through effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities. The engineer leads coordination, planning, budgeting, development, and execution of optimization projects from ideation through installation, and develops efficient, lean processes for deployment across GM. Work takes place in both a centralized manufacturing engineering environment and assembly plants, with independent judgment and interaction across organizational levels. The role also provides engineering launch leadership and on-site support during assembly plant launches.
