About The Position

At General Motors, product teams create vehicles and experiences through a human-centered design process, spanning hardware, battery systems, software, safety, and entertainment features. The company aims to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected. The Manufacturing Execution Engineer for General Assembly (GA) Manufacturing Engineering Optimization leads manufacturing optimization projects across multiple assembly sites. The role collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to design, build, and commission automation in GM vehicle assembly plants. It helps advance GA operations and the factory of the future. The engineer maximizes efficiency and reduces MCPU through effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities. The role leads coordination, planning, budgeting, development, and execution of GA optimization projects from ideation through installation, and develops lean processes for potential deployment across GM. Work takes place in a centralized manufacturing engineering environment and in assembly plants, requiring independent judgment and interaction with all organizational levels.
