Manufacturing Estimator/Data Analyst
About The Position
BLOX is seeking an analytical, data-driven Estimator/Data Analyst to support and evolve its Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) platform. The role combines estimating, advanced analytics, and cost modeling to deliver accurate, scalable cost intelligence across design, manufacturing, and construction. The position supports healthcare and commercial projects and works with cross-functional teams to align cost, schedule, and risk. Requirements
- Strong experience in estimating, cost analysis, or data analytics within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and CAD, Revit, or SolidWorks models.
- Strong understanding of cost modeling, scheduling, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or data modeling tools.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of AI/ML, statistical modeling, or data engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with modular construction or design-build environments.
- Experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost of goods sold (COGS) estimates for healthcare and commercial projects.
- Build and maintain estimating databases, including Bills of Materials and historical cost data.
- Use data analytics, AI, and modeling tools to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with Design, Manufacturing, Construction, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align cost, schedule, and risk.
- Prepare estimates across conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP phases.
- Analyze project risks, pricing strategies, and value engineering opportunities.
- Support procurement strategy through collaboration with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure a seamless handoff from estimating to operations with clear documentation.
- Contribute to proposals, presentations, and client-facing discussions.
- Drive continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and performance metrics.
