About The Position

We're looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to join our team! This role involves testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and products, ensuring 100% quality of work, and training technicians and assemblers on mastered processes. You will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting PCB’s, maintaining material inventory control, and performing repair and testing of customer products. Additionally, you will handle rework for through-hole and surface mount PCB assemblies, provide testing support for engineering prototypes, and recommend process improvements and cost reductions. Ensuring safety within production operations, maintaining current process documentation, and verifying that tools and equipment are functioning as intended are also key aspects of this position. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using and troubleshooting automated test programs (LabView or similar) for PCBAs and sub-assemblies testing.

Requirements

  • Experienced in using and trouble-shooting automated test program (LabView or similar) for PCBAs, Sub – assemblies testing.
  • Must be able to work comfortably with the Microsoft Office suite of tools, Lab View, custom Test & calibration software along with production control and management software.
  • Skilled in the use of a wide variety of electromechanical assembly hand tools
  • Solder skills including surface mount assembly
  • Through hole and surface mount PCB repair and rework skills
  • Able to read, follow and suggest improvements to production work instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering schematics and drawings
  • Ability to focus, prioritize, multitask, cope with change
  • Self-Starter and sense of urgency
  • Able to perform accurate and detail orientated work
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
  • Delivers quality work consistently.

Nice To Haves

  • Technician or Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or similar degree desired.
  • Electromechanical and / or electronic product assembly and PCB assembly experience preferred
