Plant Technicians are vital to the success of our business at P&G, working behind the scenes in manufacturing plants to keep production flowing, meet performance goals, and maintain high quality standards. This role offers entry-level hiring with opportunities for advancement by demonstrating operating, maintenance, and leadership skills, with potential to expand into electrical, quality assurance, safety, and hygiene expertise. Technicians will gain new skills to run and maintain the latest production technology and equipment, work on teams responsible for production flow, and influence business-related problems from day one.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Willing to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
  • Willing to operate essential material handling equipment at the site (forklift, clamp truck, hand trucks, etc.)
  • Technical aptitude and ability to operate machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Awareness of safety protocols and procedures
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
  • Enter confined spaces
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Running high-speed converting and packing equipment
  • Controlling the process from a computer terminal
  • Performing preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Operating and maintaining equipment in their area
  • Acting as a System Owner or Equipment Owner for the area in which they operate
  • Participating on a team to pack a product received from a making area or a finished product item that gets labeled and packaged
