About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will be responsible for building, installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing instruments or equipment. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to identify and resolve issues with equipment or processes, and modifying equipment, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently or in a group, and proficiency in the English language to comply with ISO 13485 procedures. The technician must also consistently demonstrate The Roberds’ Way values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in technical support position.
  • Previous experience and proven aptitude relating to mechanical, structural, and spatial subjects.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand up to 2 hrs.
  • Must be able to work for varied periods of time outdoors with exposure to changing climates.
  • Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access machinery.
  • Some local travel required.
  • Ability to safely use and/or operate hand, power, and bench tools.
  • Must be able to read and write at business levels.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to work well with others and communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be self-driven with an ability to start and complete projects independently or within a group.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently to ensure compliance with our ISO 13485 procedures.
  • Must consistently demonstrate The Roberds’ Way values.
  • Must possess necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate various pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to effectively repair equipment.
  • Ability to assembly complex equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or Technical Certificate in engineering, engineering technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Intermediate Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills preferred.
