About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports production operations by developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes. This role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality production through technical support, detailed work instructions, and hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing issues, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the technician utilizes CAD tools to support process design and tooling development.

Requirements

Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment
Proven experience writing work instructions or technical documentation in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain detailed manufacturing instruction sheets (MISs), and process documentation for manufacturing operations
Collaborate with production teams to ensure work instructions are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with current processes
Use SolidWorks CAD software to design fixtures, tooling, and process layouts
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste minimization, and productivity improvements
Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions
Ensure documentation complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Train operators on new or revised work instructions as needed
