About The Position
Commercial Sewing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support product development, manufacturing operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both at a computer and on the production floor—designing solutions, improving processes, and helping bring products from concept to production.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
- Experience with fabrication, machining, tooling, or fixture design
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain part, assembly, and fixture models using SolidWorks
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Design, build, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- Support new product development and production launches
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Develop work instructions and technical documentation
- Maintain engineering data within Epicor ERP
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Production, and Operations teams
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and cost
