About The Position

Join the Sargent Legacy in Securing Our Future. This role supports the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team at all levels and operations with required technical and general support. The position involves interpreting and maintaining manufacturing process documentation, processing and tracking engineering administrative responsibilities, and providing technical data for front-end business activities. The technician will also evaluate supplier issues, provide technical guidance, and coordinate the acquisition and implementation of capital equipment/expenditures. Additionally, the role includes implementing process documentation, providing training for production personnel, and actively participating in the engineering change process. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Associate’s degree plus 2 years of manufacturing or related experience OR In Lieu of a degree, minimum of 3 years manufacturing or related experience and high school diploma or GED
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position
Demonstrated hands on and basic computer abilities through employment or personal projects
Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and ensure blue print compliance
Ability to interpret and write clear technical instructions

Nice To Haves

Lean/six sigma yellow belt or Certification in Six Sigma and Lean Principles
Pursuing or interested in pursuing a BS in Engineering

Responsibilities

Supports the ME team at all levels & operations with required technical and general support
Interpret and maintain manufacturing process documentation (i.e. routers, RWPs, SOP’s, Work Orders)
Process and track different engineering administrative responsibilities
Provide technical data for front end business activities
Evaluate supplier issues and provide technical guidance
Coordinate the acquisition and implementation of capital equipment/expenditures
Implement process documentation and provide training for production personnel
Actively participate in the engineering change process
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
