About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III / Maintenance for their Corinth, MS facility. This role supports the Facility Maintenance Team in project implementation and daily operations, focusing on ensuring production Value Stream goals are met. The position serves as the primary owner and technical resource for all security and industrial camera systems across the MS Reman Campus. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be self-motivated, and willing to cross-train in other operational areas. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of camera systems, including specification, procurement, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and replacement. Collaboration with Corporate IT and cybersecurity teams is essential to ensure proper integration, compliance with security standards, and adherence to network security architecture. Responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting IP-based camera communications, network switches, ports, and VLANs, as well as maintaining comprehensive documentation for camera inventories, network configurations, system diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. The role also requires providing technical support for camera system outages, performing root cause analysis, and leading testing and acceptance activities for new installations and upgrades.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility OR an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a maintenance, electronics or IT position.
  • Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks, if necessary.
  • High proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a IT or manufacturing related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with computer systems, network tech support or software development.
  • Working knowledge of EPIX/PRWB
  • Working knowledge of purchasing systems (NextGen / Guided Buy)
  • Experience with capital project execution and implementation
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • High degree of accountability for product and processes

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of camera systems including specification development, RFQs, procurement, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and replacement.
  • Perform camera and network device configuration including IP address assignment, network connectivity validation, device enrollment, firmware updates, and system commissioning.
  • Work with Corporate IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure cameras are properly integrated into the company network infrastructure, comply with security standards, and are deployed within approved firewall and network security architecture.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP-based camera communications, network switches, ports, VLANs, and related infrastructure required for camera operation.
  • Maintain documentation for camera inventories, network configurations, system diagrams, asset records, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide technical support for camera system outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
  • Lead testing and acceptance activities for newly installed camera systems and upgrades.
  • Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
  • Operator will work in a team environment.
  • Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.
