About The Position

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Summer Intern to join our team based in Mobile, AL. We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated intern with an industrial or engineering background to support the launch and industrialization of the new production line. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The intern will work alongside experienced industrial engineers to implement best practices, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and design dossiers.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, actively listen and communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to clearly articulate problems, solutions, and feedback while fostering an open and respectful team environment.
• Must be able to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing rework instructions to address non-conformities that deviate from the design dossier, coordinating with MAP and Design Office engineers as needed to support repairs.
• Leading and supporting projects aimed at enhancing production productivity and overall process improvements.
• Maintaining and updating processes from a technical standpoint to ensure operational efficiency.
