As a global industrial manufacturing company, our ongoing innovations provide increased control, continuous processing, sorting, automated inspection, specialized conveying, and grading and sizing, in processed fruits and vegetables, nuts, dried fruit, fresh-cut produce and more. We are looking for a motivated Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team!
Requirements
- Pursuit of a Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree at least a Junior in standing
- Self-directed and motivated
- Able to communicate effectively at a factory floor level
- Technical report writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Familiar with CAD
- Comfortable with working in a factory setting
Responsibilities
- Conducting Value Stream Map exercises
- Driving subsequent cost savings opportunities
- Developing process documents
- Working on the factory floor to collect data on observed processes
- Interacting with operators
- Defining and implementing best practices processes on the factory floor
