About The Position

This role focuses on process improvement, project planning and execution, and manufacturing facility support. The Manufacturing Engineering Programmer will assist in redesigning product lines for cost-effectiveness and improved performance, coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products, and design, develop, and test machinery. They will also recommend and implement improvements to production processes, evaluate new materials and technologies, and create project plans and documentation. Additionally, the role involves participating in design reviews, preparing equipment layouts and drawings, and preparing quotations for equipment. Problem-solving in production, managing the transition of new products into production, and researching/designing manufacturing processes are key aspects of this position. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the redesigning of various product lines for cost effectiveness and improved performance.
  • Assist in the coordination of manufacturing launch for new or revised products, including training team members and evaluating results.
  • Design, develop and test machinery.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
  • Evaluate and report on new materials, technology, and techniques for improving manufacturing and service of the product line.
  • Create and manage preparatory, interim, and completion project plans, reports, and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of equipment, electrical drawings, and other documentation.
  • Prepare quotations and appropriating requests for equipment to support the business unit requirements.
  • Evaluate and solve production problems.
  • Manage the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena.
  • Research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
