About The Position

This role focuses on process improvement, project planning and execution, and supporting the manufacturing facility. The individual will assist in redesigning product lines for better cost-effectiveness and performance, coordinate manufacturing launches, and design, develop, and test machinery. Responsibilities also include recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, evaluating new materials and technologies, creating project plans and documentation, participating in design reviews, preparing equipment layouts and drawings, and preparing quotations for equipment. Additionally, the role involves solving production problems, managing the transition of new products into production, and researching/designing manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and equipment. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ladder logic experience
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design
  • Able to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven demonstration of effective and efficient interfacing with all levels of team members, vendors and guests.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, projects, and priorities.
  • Able to read, create, and analyze electrical drawings.
  • Visual Basic experience or training required.
  • Knowledge of object oriented development required.

  • Visual Basic, Allen Bradley software, Siemens programming software
  • Robotic programming in Yaskawa or Fanuc

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the redesigning of various product lines for cost effectiveness and improved performance.
  • Assist in the coordination of manufacturing launch for new or revised products, including training team members and evaluating results.
  • Design, develop and test machinery.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
  • Evaluate and report on new materials, technology, and techniques for improving manufacturing and service of the product line.
  • Create and manage preparatory, interim, and completion project plans, reports, and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of equipment, electrical drawings, and other documentation.
  • Prepare quotations and appropriating requests for equipment to support the business unit requirements.
  • Evaluate and solve production problems.
  • Manage the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena.
  • Research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
