Collins Aerospace is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization in a high-mix, high-volume aerospace metal-mechanics environment. This role is onsite in greater Austin, Texas area. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will establish and execute the Manufacturing Engineering strategy, ensuring alignment of product requirements, engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, technical data, and shop-floor execution. They will partner with various departments and suppliers to resolve constraints, optimize processes, and drive improvements in capability, variation, productivity, scrap, rework, cycle time, cost, and equipment utilization. The role involves leading manufacturing technology, automation, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and capital investments, as well as establishing and monitoring KPIs. Responsibilities also include ensuring robust engineering standards, technical documentation, ERP/MES processes, and leading manufacturing readiness for new product introduction and changes. The manager will also develop Manufacturing Engineering talent. Travel up to 25% is required.
