Manufacturing Engineering Manager
About The Position
Danfoss Turbocor is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role is responsible and accountable for supporting existing and future manufacturing operations, and for managing successful completion of key development and process improvement projects for the factory production processes. The position provides technical consulting in the manufacturing process to improve production efficiency and cost reductions. It drives continuous improvement, supports new product introductions, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures safe, robust, and lean production systems. The manager leads a team of engineers collaborating with cross-functional departments that directly support the factory to achieve its targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role is responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the technical activities and resources of the department and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
- 8 years of experience in project/manufacturing engineering in industrial facilities.
- 8 years of experience in project engineering with machine design of unique manufacturing equipment or components, investigation of commercial equipment and components, selection for purchase and integration/assembly of custom equipment, installation and startup of equipment.
- 8 years of experience in project/Process engineering with manufacturing.
- 8 years of experience in PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, or similar process/quality engineering tools.
- 3 years of experience supporting equipment integration, automated systems, or PLC-controlled manufacturing processes
