This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will manage and help develop manufacturing processes and establish best practices for the company. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of manufacturing. Your responsibilities include managing a team of Manufacturing Engineers dedicated to Assembling Rocket Engines and helping support key manufacturing process development. Collaboration with other functions, sites, and departments is critical for success in this position. As a manager, you will lead a team in identifying, developing, and deploying methods to improve safety and quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence. From a technical aspect, your team will be responsible for the translation of engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into operational steps and processes to produce fully functional hardware. This includes influencing tooling and infrastructure to best support the product and setting up production lines to meet required delivery cadence. Your leadership will strengthen the feedback loop between design and manufacturing to accelerate the pace of rocket engine development through the use of DFMA and PFMEA studies. The permanent on-site location for this position is Huntsville, Alabama.
