About The Position

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Boisbriand with Signify, the world leader in lighting. Create detailed drawings indicating dimensions, views, and other useful information for manufacturing. Develop detailed drawings for tooling, molds, and factory layouts required for the role. Communicate regularly, or as needed, with the Manufacturing Department to make agreed-upon modifications to drawings to facilitate production while meeting customer requirements. Create and update bills of materials (BOMs) used in product manufacturing. Conduct time and motion studies to improve the accuracy of planning tools and identify continuous improvement opportunities in production methods. Participate in the study and application of quality best practices (office and plant).

Requirements

Currently pursuing a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations and Logistics Engineering.
Hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong French communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is considered an asset.
