Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Technology, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience delivering presentations using data visualization tools to communicate production metrics or project updates to cross-functional teams or leadership.
  • This job requires a U.S. Person. A U.S. Person is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 60 completed hours of credit by the start of the co-op.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assure processes, equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work in support of production requirements. Plant processes include: Assembly Processes for Aircraft Brakes and Wheels, Machining, Anodize, Chemical Etch, Aluminum Conversion Coating, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Waste Water Treatment, and Shot Peen.
  • Continuously improve quality and productivity using the CORE Operating System for products and processes including compliance to these processes.
  • Identify and implement cost savings as related to direct and indirect labor savings, and expense account budgets.
  • Support activities related to compliance audits including AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
  • Support Project and Contractor Management
