Requirements

  • Technical degree, BS in Engineering or 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Basic Lean Sigma concepts, methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production processes, methods, and other data to provide management with reports and statistics to understand future manufacturing process requirements.
  • Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to promote an efficient and well-organized manufacturing HSE operation.
  • Coordinate and ensure manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
  • Analyze and plan workflow to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Actively participate in Lean projects and activities including 5S, TPM, VSM, etc.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the facility HSE Calendar.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for audits, change controls, and regulatory submissions.
  • Identify, direct, and follow through on specific requirements in support of HSE activities through coordination.
  • Identify potential environmental and safety aspects and design processes to minimize their impact.
