JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing Engineer supports the design and engineering team by providing CAD modeling, documentation, and engineering analysis for product and manufacturing-related initiatives. This role is developmental in nature and is intended to build a strong foundation in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The Manufacturing Engineer works under the guidance of senior engineers and contributes to continuous improvement, design-for-manufacturability efforts and tooling coordination activities as part of broader product development and production support. This position is onsite. This position does not serve as the primary owner of tooling or mold designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 0–3 years of related engineering or design experience (internship or co-op experience acceptable).
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established engineering standards.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, plastics processing, or tooling concepts.
  • Experience with engineering change management systems.
  • Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals.
  • Interest in developing long-term technical skills related to manufacturing and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Support product development and manufacturing initiatives by assisting with design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) reviews.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support production readiness and engineering changes.
  • Assist in the coordination of tooling and fixtures by preparing documentation, reviewing supplier inputs, and supporting design updates under supervision.
  • Participate in engineering change processes, including updating drawings, part specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Conduct basic engineering analysis, tolerance reviews, and design validation activities as assigned.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve product quality, cost, or manufacturability.
  • Learn and apply company engineering standards, drafting practices, and product development procedures.
  • Gain exposure to tooling and mold design concepts through mentorship, training, and participation in cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other engineering support duties as required.
