Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a goal-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join the Medford, OR Team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our PCBA &/or electromechanical assembly operations run at peak performance. You’ll own the technical processes that drive world‑class quality, high efficiency, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing floor. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where your expertise directly influences product reliability, customer satisfaction, and production throughput. Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of PCBA and mechanical assembly processes, including reading drawings and using specialized equipment.
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate documentation and following detailed technical instructions.
  • Self‑driven, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in printed circuit assembly and mechanical assemblies; EMS/contract manufacturing preferred.
  • Effective communicator and problem‑solver with solid organizational abilities.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain precise and detailed manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) of electromechanical assemblies
  • Troubleshoot process defects and drive toward problem resolution.
  • Attend quality meetings and drive quality issues for improved yields.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processes
  • Identify and apply cost-saving ideas along with implementing manufacturing techniques and improvement initiatives to drive up production efficiencies.
  • Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and/or existing product lines.
  • Work with new and existing customers on DFM/DFA on electromechanical assemblies and the release of products to the factory
  • Assist in the quoting process by understanding and documenting the steps, time elements, and tooling required to assemble products
  • Champion 5S and lean principles within a cellular manufacturing environment
